"The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot." - Michael Althsuler

Time flies. I’ve heard (and said) that a lot lately. With the summer behind us and Thanksgiving looming around the corner, are you wondering where the year went? Did you start the year filled with enthusiasm for your resolutions and lose your drive or, hit hard by the general malaise perhaps, did you never really get on your game?

Well, you can lay low, coast through the holiday season and wait for New Year’s Day to start fresh, or you can galvanize, throw off inertia and squeeze the most out of the last months of 2009. You can feel triumphant this New Year’s Eve that, not only did you survive a challenging year, but you turned things around and took a giant step forward.

The problem with inertia is that it’s so damn difficult to overcome – there’s always tomorrow, or Monday or next month. Unfortunately, time passes whether you take action or not, and that feeling of regret that you haven’t done what you wanted to do only gets more and more painful.

WHO ARE YOU?

If you’re drawn to read this, good chance you’re naturally goal-oriented and crave the sweet taste of achievement. You’re used to operating in high gear, setting the bar higher and living with intensity. You’re involved in diverse activities, maybe even multiple careers. You get excited when you hear about a new idea or technique for enhancing your performance, whether it’s at work or on the playing field.

But maybe you’re in a rut, feeling stuck or stymied by the demands of the daily grind. Maybe you’re a little weary of being solo. Or maybe you’re gunning for a specific goal – a job promotion or sales bonus, training for a triathlon, studying for a graduate degree or starting your own company – and are hungry for ways to do it faster, better, smarter.

So why not just get a(nother) self-help book?

There’s no shortage of advice out there on productivity, motivation and setting goals.

The problem is, the sheer amount of information can be overwhelming and frustrating to put into practice in a busy life. And, exhilarating as it is, living a performance-driven life is often a lonely one. (I know very well that feeling of isolation – turning down social invitations to practice, train or study – in order to gain the long-term pay-off.)

As a Juilliard-trained concert pianist with a top-tier MBA and martial arts black belt, I know how to set and achieve goals: to identify what will motivate me, determine my strategy, stay focused and reach the finish line. For example, I’ve:

-       Won top honors in numerous national and international piano competitions since the age of 10, including the Silver Medal and Audience Favorite prizes at the 2005 New York International Amateurs Piano Competition. (one competition while I was a second-year law student and clerking at a law firm)

-       Taught myself to speak, read and write Japanese fluently (reaching the finals of a speech competition in Japan which was televised nationally)

-       Earned a first-degree black belt (sparring with guys half my age)

-       Played my way to the #1 position on my high school tennis team

-       Negotiated promotion to managing writer at the third-largest investor relations firm in Tokyo at the age of 28

-       Became a top-producing insurance salespersonv company-wide within seven months (despite being an extreme introvert!)

None of these accomplishments came easily, by the way. I had plenty of setbacks, disappointments and moments of doubt (like when it took me an extra year and five very humbling attempts to break the boards for my black belt), so I know a little something about resilience and how to get back on track.

I’ve taken the wish list that I personally thirst for when I’m shifting into high gear – inspiration, accountability, camaraderie – and combined it with the techniques, insights and knowledge I’ve culled from studying and practicing peak performance over 20 years and designed a brand-new five-week program to help you…

IN A NUTSHELL...

I know how important follow-up support and inspiration is. So rather than make this an all-day workshop, I’ve broken the program down into five segments -- two in person, and three on the phone via teleseminar.

This will give us the optimum balance of convenience and effectiveness while providing the opportunity to establish connections with an elite group of like-minded people (and even to partner with one of them as a “success buddy,’ if you choose).

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET

1.     Two (2) in-person workshops (two hours each)

2.     Three (3) hour-long teleseminars (which will be recorded and sent out to participants)

3.     Adrenalin Toolbox on CD with dozens of:

o      planning and tracking templates

o      “inner coach” scripts

o      daily/weekly/monthly checklists

4.     Bi-weekly personalized email

BONUS: You’ll also automatically receive a 15% discount off any of my Winter 2010 workshops.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

I've helped entrepreneurs and corporate professionals overcome their personal hurdles and ramp up their performance and enjoy the process.

Here are a few quick examples...

"Renita is a truly talented coach! With great skill she guides the sessions into unexpected territory, inspiring insights, new perspectives, and, most importantly, change. I look and feel different than when I started this process a few weeks ago. I have already accomplished the three initial goals I set with Renita's encouragement every step of the way. I can't wait to see what else unfolds in my personal and professional life in the coming months!"

"Thank you so much for all the presentations you gave us last week. You made the activities very lively, interactive, and engaging. If only all teachers and coaches were so good!"

"I chose to work with Renita from the many thousands of coaches out there in cyberspace because I was initially very impressed by her wide range of interests and skills, and when I had my first consultation I knew that she would be someone that I would respond to. At the beginning, I was stuck, very stuck! I had lots of ideas about the direction I wanted to go in, but very little self-belief. Whereas Renita has a black belt in taekwon-do, I had black belts in procrastination, fear and self sabotage! Renita has been invaluable in breaking down my limiting and self imposed beliefs and providing a structure for me to achieve what I am aiming for, she has kept me "in the flow". I cannot recommend her too highly!"

SO, ARE YOU READY TO...

  • Make a quantum leap in productivity?
  • Perform at your absolute best under pressure and when it counts most?
  • Break through past limitations and see what you're really capable of?
  • Achieve exceptional results and catapult yourself to the next level?

Let me show you how to shift into high gear AND have fun while doing it.
